the first one is a solid mount.

the bottom is a combo of the lower mount and the upper insert.

the combo is easy to install

not even close other than the are for the same engine. the TTR upper mount is much better than the insert.
just get the TTR upper and the lower. you'll be happy
p.s. be aware you'll have to live with some vibes

I have the old insert and it seems to be more than enough already, I can't imagine the full mount being that much better...

The first link is to the complete upper engine mount replacement. From customer feed back, the insert only stops about 1/2 to 3/4 of the engine movement, where as the complete engine mount almost eliminates all movement.

The second link is the insert we were speaking of above, and is the lower engine mount.

So choices would be:

The first item and just the lower engine mount (no insert needed)

OR

Link number 2

By doing one of the above choices would do the same, except the 1st choice would eliminate more engine movement, and cause less wheel hop.

Actually, due to the design of this mount utilizing the large bushing, allows for very little movement, yet if dampens the vibs. Many have compared the ecotec RK Sport Vs. the Turbo Tech Racing and stated the movement is the same (very little) and the vibs are much less on the Turbo Tech Racing than the RK Sport, for being a full replacement solid mount. Again, this is what we have heard for reviews.

So I will let others that have this mount post their thoughts on this topic.

having had all 3 , the insert , the rk eco mount , and turbo techs mount

i wouldnt waste a dime on the insert or rk's eco mount

also if you have a 5spd , get the inserts for the trans mounts , hopefully he will have the auto's done sooner than later

from ive seen with alot of the locals with the 2.2 ohv's , they tend to vibe less than the 2.4 and eco

only thing with the auto's and a/c they tend to be a little worse at idle in gear with the a/c on , my cav is a 2.4 auto , and in gear and a/c on , i know the mount is there , outta gear or when driving you never notice it , having hp tuners , to play with the idle speed might be helpfull to find the sweet spot

and that is wether you get the insert or the full upper mount

Yes IMO both of those would be considered the "best" performance for mounts

Complete upper mount is very basic, the trans take a bit more time and are a bit more difficult.

are the instructions detailed enough that i'd b able to through them in??......

and are they like just bolt on.....or am i gonna need to do more then that......

like i understand i'll have to take the old ones off....

but like am i gonna need any special tools or nething, like a engine lifter thinggy.....lol....i just dont wanna buy them, n have no money to go get them installed professionally.........

thanks again for all your help!!!!
Re: 2.2L Engine Mount

they are all pretty easy , engine side are the easiest to do

the trans are a little more involved , but like the engine only a floor jack is needed

if turbo tech instructions are as good as we have helped him with for the motor , then the trans sould be pretty easy

another thing that would help is getting with others in your area that are more fimilar to help you out , its easier than getting on the net to ask us , lol

but we are here if needed
