2.3 HO Manifold Question. Yes another ?

Sorry for this question. But i just wanna clear something up as i will have my new completely forged 2.4 back from the machinest soon

Ok. By the wright ups on the HO 2.3 Swap. they mention using an adapter.

DO i have to use and adapter?

I have a 2.3 HO Manifold and a 60 MM 2.4 TB bored.

Ifi dont have to use an adapter what about gaskets sense the 2.3 and 2.4 ports are off i hear., can i have my machinest match the 2.4 head and 2.3 HO Manifold up? and then use a custom gasket or?

Thanks. didnt want to make another lame HOmanifold post but couldnt find the answer im looking for

Use the adapter if you don't wanna go the machining route.

And you can use the 2.3L gaskets. But you'll have to cut and match them up.

My question for you is what years is your car?
Do you have the EGR?
If so you'll have to block it off.

I made my own gaskets. Had the manifold welded with extra material, then decked and portmatched to the head. I used a 2.4 tb that I had to do a bit of modding to. Redrilled the 2 holes bigger, along with the one hole on the throttle cable brackets, then tapped the hole on the tb so that I could bolt the bracket to the tb.
