Yeah thats really good prices.
Esp if the color options are free too.

Basically right now the RSM factory sized is the only one available.
Thats already $160

Also their alt pulley at $80.

So yeah the price is right.

Although, personally I'll only need the alt pulley but whatever works.

id like to see it closer to like 160 , but 175 isnt out of line

more so if you can work some on shipping

look up fel-pro sleeve-n-seal , it is a sleeve that is made to slip over the snout , it was what i mentioned earlier about the seal issue

im just brining it up again because i saw it mentioned in chevy high performance , and they mentioned the company that offers them

figured if someone could find out if they offered them for the 2.3/2.4 , those that are concirned about the seal , can buy 1 of them

just a thought

im still in

I wanna get in on this, a lighter pulley that's stock sized would be great. UR's pulley right now is awsome, but for S/C guys, a no go.. $175 for both is a great deal, as the UR crank is about $185-200 depending on where you look, and at 14oz, not bad at all IMO.

I'm working to have both a package deal, or just a crank or alternator pulley. Tomorrow Tuesday, I'm going back to finalize everything. Everyone keep your figures crossed.

I was thinking since I am not supercharged getting a lighter altenator from this and then an underdrive so I won't mess the charging system up if I keep the altenator the stock size just lighter. Sound right?

What's all this talk about sleeves?

Been through Unortho and RSM factory sized and no oil leaks.

Is the sleeve that necessary?

no its not necessary , but the rsm pulley my friend had would have started leaking had it been left on his car , as the seal on his ate up the snout of the pulley

i was just putting it out there just in case

There was discussion on this a few pages back and I believe the concensus was that the crappy RSM pulleys aren't coated so the aluminum is being worn away. These pulleys will be hard coated and should not have this issue.

Of course, time will tell. MD, how many miles have you put on your car now with the pulley installed? Just wondering how much driving you do and whether you can check after a couple thousand miles whether there's any signs of wear.

About 25 times down the drag strip and about 1500 miles. Last time I checked last weekend it was fine. I'll probably have it off this weekend again to look. The hard-coat should fix the problem that the RSM pulley had, but how could rubber wear through the aluminum? Mine is a rubber seal?

Side note still waiting for a more accurate price and terms to be worked out. AND yes I'm getting as frustrated as all of you. I want to start this group purchase already.

believe it or not the rubber seal will put a groove in the cast iron balancer also

which is the reason they make those press on ends like i mentioned

it usually happens when the rubber seal gets hard , but will do it soft also , the lip seal has a kinda sharp edge , plus if you look at the seal , there is a round spring in there to help keep pressure on the lip to keep a seal on the balance snout , which is the other reason there will eventually get a groove in them

keep in mind im NOT saying in any way that MD-LD9's will do it , he is doing what he can to help prevent it

and ive only mentioned it , just to make sure he was aware of any and all possibilities of potential issues

ive got no worries that his will very good and dependale product that will last us years of trouble free use
