i have problem with my head gasket... i have to change my head gasket once a summer... someone have a solution ???
May be possible that your block or head is warped...those engines have a tendacy to go..problem with the 95-97's but its usually every 100xxx k or so. Have you checked your block or head for flatness with a straight edge? my bet is its warped specially if its goign that much....phil
The aluminum head will have a tendancy to warp more often than the cast iron block. After a number of miles both will eventually be warped. there is a .010" warpage limit on the block and a .005" warpage limit on the head. These surfacing limits, if you are using the stock non adjustable rockers, if you're using adjustable rocker arms then you can go further.
Be sure to use new head bolts whenever you remove the head. They are torque-to-yield bolts and must be installed correctly with new bolts. If new bolts aren't used they will not stretch and will cause gasket failure. Hayne's, Chilton's or any service manual will give the proper proceedure to install the head and tightening the fasteners.
i got a copper head gasket and its holding strong
