I got a 97 cavalier 2.2 what are the all motor mods that i can do to bring my car up to 250 hp to the wheels. if its possible on the 2.2

250 at the wheels your looking at all bolt ons..turbo built engine, its definatly do able but i highly doubt without tons of money is it possible n/a..phil

would it be the same amount doing a turbo and bolt on then swapping the 3.8 s/c then later on i can do higher hp gains

If you do a good turbo setup, then you may be able to get close to 250. You're biggest problem on the 97 is going to be fuel. Possibly an easier thing to do would be to bolt in a 2.2 from 98+ or even a 2.4.

I'm not sure what's involved in that, but it will be easier then trying to fabricate your own fuel setup on the 97 sunfire. Trust me, i did it. It's not easy, or cheap. It would have been easier to get a 2.4 motor, or a 2.2 from 1998. You may only need the new ECU, the 98 motor, and rearrance the coolent lines to work. the motor will bolt right in. That'd be the cheapest, and best way to make 250 hp on a 2.2; turbo.

i am fully building mine. doing a topfeed fuel conversion and going to put about 15 psi to it when it finally said and done. i know there is easier but this is more fun. ;O)
