does anyone know how to kill the governor, because it sucks topping out and letting the other guy go by you when your going further than a 1/4 mile
....
you can't remove the governor, the car is GPS tracked and if they see the car is on public roads the governor is enabled, once you hit a sanctioned racetrack, they disable it via gps sattelite and the cars antenna (why do you think it has the class 2 wire going from the radio to the pcm?)

i'll be the nice one and tell you, no one is going to tell you
because j-bodies are not designed to go faster than 108mph
you would have to upgrade the brakes, suspension and wheels. and its only useful in the quater mile
once yuo are trapping 108+mph in the quarter mile, you'd probably be smart enough to know how to disable it

Going on a rant here....
My buddy and I were just talking about this yesterday and boy do I want to punch him in the face. He has a 96 GTI that he has chipped, thus giving him a who knows how high top end. I don't know what his limiter was at, but I've been with him while he is driving fast and reckless (not to mention on sh*tty tires and a blown suspension) and I will tell you, I was scared as hell. He is 20 years old and still acts like he is 16 sometimes. I'm 19 and I drive sensibly, most of the time.
End rant...
There is no reason anyone should be going that fast to begin with. If you are, you should be shot and hopefully something does happen to you. And our cars are in no means 'fast' that they could be beating other cars until top end. So take your little thread in hopes that it gets locked.

If I'm with someone that's driving recklessly, I'll put their transmission in neutral for them
Don't need to push the clutch on a manual to slide into neutral
