Relocating Clutch Resevoir with intake
Saturday, March 11, 2006 8:57 AM
I was just curious to where you guys relocated your clutch resevoir when you installed an intake. I know it originally mounts into the airbox and I was thinking of making a bracket to bolt to the drivers side strut tower to mount it there. Any ideas though are appreciated.

AEM makes a mount for the resevoir

I zip tied mine too, for a lot cheaper than $23.99.

That looks nice and all, but $24 is a bit steep!!

I just zip tied mine to that bracket left on the strut tower.

I agree 100%. And hell, if I could drop by a local shop and pick one off the shelf for $20, I'd get one.

I just won't go to the trouble of ordering one that will end up costing me $30+ when all is said and done.

what i did was found a nice lookin piece of pretty thing.. probably 1/8 of an inch thick, 3/4 wide and about 5'' long aluminum that had a nice shine left to it sittin in my garage drilled a couple holes into it, bent it to 90 bolted one side to the strut tower and made a but a tinnny black ziptie through the hole and the resevoir it actually looks pretty good for free, i'll post a pic tomorrow for you if you'd like.

I bought the AEM piece. It looks 100x better than zip tying it somewhere.
See?:

You wouldn't be able to buy it if you want to. Looks like they do ship to Canada, but their site is glitched so that it's impossible to order without filling in a US address. And AEM doesn't list it on their site. My urge to impulse buy has almost passed. Too bad for them.
