I have been running Denso Iridium plugs with no problems, anyone else have feedback on these?

would the SRT NGKs be better if running an MSD set up? I've read that MSD can make the plugs hotter, wouldn't running 2 steps colder help with that? And by run different because it's colder, can someone explain?

Thanks!

By running different I mean the idle quality CAN be degraded, the fuel mileage CAN be affected, and other things along those lines. Doesn't happen in all cases though.

Still, no one has said what the NGK iridium correct part # is for the ecotec 2.2l...?

Whats the correct part # for these 2 step colder plugs?

You have to look for the SRT-4...and I think it was posted previously in this thread. I know if you go to NGK's site you can search for them.

NGK Irridium plug would be LTR7IX-11 or part number 6510.
On sparkplugs.com website they are $7.60 a pop, really good plug and a 2 step colder.

Tis is the forst time the part number has been given...........
Is this part number for the SRT-4 NGK iridium plugs or the factory replacement plugs for the Ecotec ?

Next, would the colder plug make :

idle quality CAN be degraded, the fuel mileage CAN be affected, and other things along those lines

/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ ------ happen, or the hotter plug ?

buzz...every time NGK or Champion has been refered to in this post it is for the SRT-4. Neither company makes a replacement for the Ecotec J.

I'm not trying to be a pain in the @r$$, but i was refering to the number on the plug it'sef........
you see, i know nothing about SRT-4's and if i go to the automotive store, the firts thing they are gonna ask me, is what year, what make, what model, coupe or sedan, and probably what motor it has....... i have no idea on any of that. I was just saying that if i was to have the number off of the plug itself, then i wouldn't even have to go through any of that......
And if you say that NGK, does not have an irridium plug for the J's then i guess this is correct:
Quote:

LTR7IX-11 or part number 6510

this is what i was more or less looking for, but like i said, i didn't know about replacements.
Now, to answer the colder vs. hotter plug, which of those would be optimal to run ?

So those are actually 2 steps cooler? 2 Steps cooler then what stock Ecotec or the stock SRT4 plugs?

2 steps colder than the stock eco plugs

Ok sorry for not replying but you guys that are saying SRT plug are wrong!!!
This IS THE PLUG! Made for Ecotec NOT SRT-4.
Se SRT's use LZ type plug and this is L.
R for the resistor cause if you didn't have that you would get static through your radio sometimes.
7 is the heat range of it and stock is 5 so the higher it is in NGK plug the colder it is.
(That is why they have form DSM's BPR5A's, 6A's, 7's. 8's, 9's, and if you go to motorcycle shops they sometimes even have 10's and 11's.For extreme applications)

We were NOT blessed with vast variety of plugs like DSM's tho, but I'll take 2 step colder.
IX just stands for their IX brand ''extreme''.
-11 stands for the gap it comes with so you don't have to re-gap it, cause irridiums are infamous for tips breaking off. Well the base electrode since it is so tiny.
Our stock ones are -13 which is .052 gap.
-11's are .044 gap
-9's are like .035 and -9 or -8 are .028 which would be the best since higher boost car wanna be in that range but that is NOT one of the options.
Sorry guys only -11's and gap them down.

These are however Ecotec 2002-05 spark plugs no MOPAR involved here. lol
Hope that resolves all the misunderstanding and misconceptions.

You can however run SRT plugs, but I have personally had bad experience with them, heat range made the piece of piston come out of the motor.
