Im currenly thinking hard about going turbo but I want to rebuild the whole motor first so I can up the boost! Would anyone recommend this engine kit? It doesnt come with rods so i will have to get those off ebay (seen em 4 $300shipped). Also they claim It can handle up to 1000hp! Think this is a deal? or can I buy everything seperate and save? THANKS in ADVANCE!
what kit?

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
If you did a little thing called search, all of your answers could be found. That is all I'm saying. The information is out there, one just has to take advantage of it. Browse around the Boost forum. I don't know much about internals, so I won't know much.
And it's www.importperformance.NET
Good luck! Hope you know this project will be costing a few grand!
ummm.why would i ask if im not planing to spend money?? can you tell me that? i aint no window shopper!
I'm just saying. We see lots of this stuff come in and nothing comes out of it. I notice you're only 17 and a noob...you have big dreams, which is great! More power to you. I'm 19 and others on here are well older than me. But we all had these dreams before. I'm probably not going to do much more to my car.
Remember, in the end, it's still a Cavalier
NJHK will agree...There are many posts about people wanted to mod their cars to the max, yet fail to realize the actual costs and TIME it will take. Not saying you won't hold true to your word. I notice you have a few posts else where trying to find out info, great to see that. Hope you have the aspiration to do this!
Good luck!

Isnt that the one with the T25B turbo? If so you aint gonna be making anywhere near 1000 hp out of that, lol not to mention that no one is even sure if our blocks will hold that much power. Yeah and the kit was like, $25XX right? If your going to spend that much money, look into a reputable kit, the Jtuners have a kit around that price with a T3 super 60, and hahn is a tad more expensive, but well worth it in performance and reliability. Hell Id even suggest maximum boost over that.
I think he's refering to the rod/piston combo they offer. I planned on getting that deal from them, but I'll probably order so venolia pistons instead and get a custom set of gapless rings. IIRC though, there internal kit is around $800 or so w/o rings.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
im refering to the engine kits....

I'm just saying that I've learned. Sure it's still a Civic and Cav but honestly, unless you really love these cars that much to do that much work, then go for it. It has been done. But do know what you're getting yourself into. Wait until you get older and you will see that things aren't too far out of reach with the proper job. Do you honestly think you will be driving this car in 10 years? I thought so at your age. But now I see everything that has to be done to run well and it's a task I don't wish to tackle, especially in college. Stay in school, get an education, do basic bolt ons, and you should be set. Unless you're super rich, do whatever you want.
