Alright guys.. WEll i successfully almost blew up my stock engine.. so now i am either faced to do a complete performance rebuild, minus the head and the block or buy a new engine. I am going with the rebuild. Right now the problem sounds like a rod or rod bearing, and the cam. The mechanic didnt specifiy which one. Now i need to know pretty much in the next like 2 hours a complete list of what i should get. Were talking all new internals. Pistons, Rods, valves, valve springs, the works. I need to know manufacturers, and the like. Its for a 2002 2.4L Twin Cam, the Z24 motor. I need to know this ASAP guys, thanks for the help.

Thats wide open man. What are you wanting to do, run a turbo or stay all motor? How much are you willing to spend? Are you gonna race it or just looking to have a faster street car? Definately read that FAQ, and go out and do some of your own homework. Search engines are your friend.
I root for the underdog...figured I might as well be one
Wiesco forged .020 pistons, Eagle 4340 forged H beam rods, Car Customs 1mm oversized stainless valves,95 2.3 intake cam & 89-94 LO exhaust cam ( Secret Cams), CL-77 rod & main bearings, turn & polish the stock crank, ARP head & main studs. This should get you started, how did you blow your engine anyway?
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
