I had just put my exhaust on my ecotec and I cant tell why it smells so bad. I have the pacesetter header (ceramic coating) new cat, 30” resonator and catback. I just want to know if the smell coming from the car is normal. I have about 5 miles on the system and it smells like oil. Any help is good.
yeah, the oil inside the pipes, muffler, and resonator is burning off. It'll go away after you put some miles on it. I think that ehaust manufacturers do that to keep it from getting surface rust or anything like that while they are sitting in their warehouse.
i have been reading the post about this kind of stuff and i know it will smell somewhat but should it smell like oil and VERY noticeable
