so you guys that are running 24" and 25" glasspacks... are you running cats too? I've got my pacesetter cat to muffler piping laid out, and there's no way it's gonna fit a glasspack that big.

Yep, 16" long cat and 25" resonator. It fits with room to spare.

Actually, I have the Pacesetter System too, and I'm running a 25" glasspack on it right behind the flange, and yes, there's plenty of room to a cat. Believe me, they both fit The length on the unit overall is 25" (tip to tip), but the length of the casing (the actual glasspack part) is 20" long. You've got a 2.5" tip on each end, so you've got an extra 5" to play with. I opted to remove 1.25" from each tip (making it a 22.5" overall length), just to make things easier. It's not necessary, but at least I knew I could take advantage of ONLY THE STRAIGHT section of pipe on the Pacesetter system, but even then it's not necessary. However, if for some odd reason you're clamping this glasspack on instead of welding, you might not want to shave any length off the ends so you can slip it far over the Pacesetter piping to get the best seal possible.

Don't quote me on this, but before I bought the glasspack, I crawled under the car with a tapemeasure, and from 1/2" past the flange to 1/2" before the first bend, I came up with a total of like 27-28" of useful straight pipe to mount the glasspack to. Plenty of room.

that's what I was thinking, was welding a flange on the resonator to bolt up to the Magnaflow cat, and that should be enough room to weld the other end of the resonator right up before the bend. if need be, an inch or so could be cut from the ends of the resonator so it'll fit right.

That'll do just fine.

it fits with ease i welded my cat to the down pipe and then used a coupler between the 14" cat and 24" glasspack and there plenty of room after the glass pack heres a pic if youd like

So yeah you can get ones that are pretty long.

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.

Heck, I've got a 35" glasspack, but I've got the 2.2L.The exhast manifold or header exits the motor from the front. Just moved the cat forward about 8" and it fit. I also used some pre-bent pipes.
