i was looking at getting a turbo for my cavy ( 2.2-2200 ). but with the high miles, i'm now leaning towards just doing an engine swap. was looking at the 2.0 turbo engine from a saab. (i believe it's a 2.0)....anywho, here's my question, does anybody know where i can find the dimensions of the block? i've searched online, but can only find pics and specs that state the performance of the engine. i want to know so i can figure out how much fab will be required as far as engine mounts and how much room i have to play with.
thanks in advance for any help you all can provide.
why don't you just swap an LD9 into it?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
i screwed up. it's not a 2.0. the one i was looking at is the 2.8L V6 LP9. big difference i know!!!! so it looks like i have some more searching to do. i'm sure if i'm bound and determined, i can make it fit
and i'm sure your right shifted. the trans that comes with it is a F40/6. saw it's the same one used in the G6's. so it's not looking good at that end
if you're going with a v-6 just go with a 3.8 s/c

The one, the only, ME.
Use a Old Pontiac Sunbird Turbo Manifold. It will fit the 2200 and allow you to boost the engine 3psi without an intercooler.

I have never heard of anyone doing that. Will the computers fuel map handle that extra air? If it will it sounds like a fairly easy mod.
New sig in the works
