fuel pressure idea

i had a thought when i was pulling my trottle body off for cleaning and such. the vacum line that runs from the body to the fpr it works by putting a vacum on the regulator so it will either open or close correct ? well what happens if you use a larger diameter line and bore out the conectors on the trottle body and stock Fpr ? would it help to close off the Fpr or would it hender its capability to close? just a thought . im sure that some one has probably thought of this already but i havent found anything about it .

Well i dont know about a FPR, but i assume that if you enlarge a vacuume line, you wont pull the same amount of vacuume pressure, larger opening, more area, LESS pressure, or well, lack of pressure.

ya but how does the Fpr work . does it close off with less vacum or with more vacum. i dont know . thats kind of why i was asking about this

It closes with more vaccuum.

Boring it out won't create more vaccuum. Its a law of physics (Bernoulli's principle I believe). Pressure in a closed system is equal on all points regardless of the size of the system, or shape. This is how hydraulic jacks work.

Oh and one of the most important things you must know is about the Continuity Equation. Which relates the speed of a fluid moving through a pipe to the cross sectional area of the pipe. It says that as a radius of the pipe decreases, the speed of fluid flow must increase and visa-versa.

That's just common sense though...
