My finished exhaust system :)
Sunday, November 20, 2005 12:04 PM
I finally got my exhaust system finished for good yesterday. It consists of:

A Pacesetter ceramic-coated header
Tubing from the RK Sport single-exit Magnaflow stainless system
A 26" polished stainless Magnaflow Magnapack
A 12" polished stainless Vibrant Performance resonator
A 5x8x18 Magnaflow stainless oval muffler
A Magnaflow 3" single-wall stainless tip

Well... onto the pics

The outcome is a super smooth, deep, and quiet exhaust note

^ Universal does not mean legal.

^^^because it says universal, it does not mean that is legal for all applications. I have a list of the legal applications sitting here in front of me, and the Cavalier is not on the list. It would have to be certified by CARB before it can be added to the list.

Where did you get the 26 inch magna pack, and how much. I have a thrush 30 incher on mine and it kills performance due to recirculating the gases to restrict sound. With my new set up I would like one like yours.

I got the magnapack before Magnaflow decided to discontinue them. Its just been sitting waiting to be used. I think I paid $65 for it.

Its a Magnaflopw tip. You can find it anywhere that sells Magnaflow. Hey Chris, I have a 30" Magnaflow XL Powerpack just sitting around. Its basically the same thing as a magnapack, just unpolished and it doesn't have the ends like the magnapack has. Hit me up if you want it. $45 shipped.

Quick question, in cali do they have enviromental police rolling around like they do here in toronto ??? cause if not then go with the high flow, i know it is gay but they have rolling emissions testing , they are really out there for trucks, but i have seen and i know some guys who got pulled over, and have to surrender to a test or have there car impounded and have the test done at the station, (that the price we pay for the clean air we breth up here)

Here in Cali, we don't have that problem with environmental police. However, in order for my car to pass the visual inspection when it is smogged, every aftermarket performance part from the intake to the inthrottle body and from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter must have a CARB (California Air Resources Board) exemption order number.
