This is the number 3 rod on my 99 2.4L. It only has 1 brearing in it.. As you can see from the picture it only has a bottom bearing, not the top. My other 3 pistons had two bearings. Is this how it's supposed to be? I looked around where I was working thinking maybe I dropped it but I didn't.
These rods and pistons won't be going back into the engine because im going all forged, but it was weird to me that this one rod only had 1 bearing..

lolol, I agree. Yeah i was gonna get the Clevitte bearings anyway.
I have no Idea where the damn thing went.. It wasnt in the oilpan, I seen no shavings anywhere ha. Ill have to inspect the crank later when I get the chance.. I was gonna use the stock crank for boost, but if its gouged then obviously I cant.

depending on the condition of your crank and whether it's salvageable, you might just send it to JBP for lighening, balancing, and knife-edging.
