Hey all, I'm in the market for a header for my 2.4. I already have a 2.25" catback and I am looking at a 4-1 header. Is a ceramic coated header really that much better? Will the ceramic coating eventually wear off? I know the stainless ones turn a golden/purple color. Is this a bad thing? Also, I know that OBX, Pacesetter, and Weapon-R all make a 4-1 2.4 header. Is there any better one over another?
OBx and Pacesetter are pretty much the same. I personally wouldnt go with weapon r headers buti dont know if theyre good or not. As far as the purple stuff thats fine it doesnt hurt anything. the ceramic coated is better because it wont rust out.

the ceramic coating will also help reduce under hood temps. the coating will prevent rusting and will not wear off. ive been told that the pacesetter header is actually coated by JetHot, great stuff. im personally gonna get a ceramic pacesetter from the GP that turbotech is gonna have in a few weeks.

As far as I know, Weapon-R doesn't have a 2.4 Header but if they did, it would be fine to purchase.
Most people here go with the Pacesetter Ceramic Coated with their 2.4
