would i gain something with a s-10 cam in my 2.2 ohv ? btw its a 96 if yes im egtting one soom and while im redoing the engine this winter ill swap it out (can get one for 30$)
If I remember right S-10 cam will work but are made for lower and more torque. Also to swap the cam you'd have to take the whole engine out, so my opinion, wouldn't be worth it/

I'm with him, except he probably had more than two guys, a pipe, and a length of chain

hell if you are redoing an engine, drop about 200$ on a custom cam since its gonna be in there for a few thousand or hundred thousand miles....
get one made to your specs and that will be more efficient and effective than a cam simply made for another vehicle...
200$ for a cam wow where i checked and a custom cam is around 400$ and it takes about 40 minutes to get the engine out of my car (daddy's a 35 year experienced mechanic

and weve done it twice under 45 minutes) so hmmmm well would a machine shop be able to regrind a cam ? what i want is a bit more low end power ( i mean from like 20 to 70 km/h)
Crane regrind = 154 bucks

The S-10 and cavalier Cam is almost the same. Waste of time if you ask me.

Call Crane, talk to Dave Maxwell, he'll set you up with a good regrind for what you want. $154 for the regrind plus shipping. Many on here have done it and I haven't heard any complants (not that I've seen posted).
