Ok so there is this guy at school that keeps telling people that when he asked if I wanted to race him I was scared out of my mind and wouldn't do it. I never said that all I said was he would beat me so there was no point in racing. Well he keeps talking smack so I want to beat him in a race to shut him up. My question is what bolt on performance parts can I put on to get my HP up. He has a automatic toyota corrolla (Don't know what year) with a CAI and a catback exhaust. All I have is a magnaflow muffler and a K&N air filter. I dont need tons of more power just enough to beat him. So besides a intake and a exhaust are there any other boltons I can use to get more power.

Theres a good chance it would be a very close race right now as it is. I say just get a 40 or 50 shot of spray and blow his doors off

Bolt ons will help but don't expect a huge gain from it but it will be noticeable.

You could do anything really...exhaust upgrades, intake upgrade, mounts, throttle body etc etc. There is a bunch of options, it all depends on how much you have and want to spend.

On a serious note, intake, exhaust, and motor mounts are your best bet. Other than that you're talking more serious work (as in built motor, boost, or bottle).

....yep. lightening is the way to go. all the stuff outta your trunk, dash, glove box, back seats, etc. you can take em out in an hour, and put em back in in the same. buy a crank pulley, will only take less than half an hour to change. give ya a couple of more horses, relatively cheap.

i dont know of too many fast auto corollas, the new ones, or the ae86 style. none are too fast in a straight line.

carollas are fast? alls i have is a 4to1 pacesetter header and iridium plugs and i can almost beat a 3.4 H.O. grand am. my car is a stick but idk how much of a dif it would make against the carolla. take out ur spare tire it helps a bit its about 40 pounds
