I did a search and there seems to be different opinions on how long a Thrush Glasspack(#24200-25" overall length) used as resonator will last. Thrush guarantees no blowouts or leaks, but I wanted first-hand experiences. How long can I expect it to last on my '99 Z-24 w/stock 2" piping and minimal intake modifications and a high-flow muffler? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I've had mine for a while.
Put at least.. oh... 1400 miles on it in the first month. Sounds great still. seems to be just fine aside from some scraped paint and the like.
Mine has been on for about 2000 miles now, so far so good.

had those as mufflers on my sunbird still looks brand new
I had one on my previous vehicle, A 1984 ford Bronco II as the only muffler for about 3 1/2 years and it held up better than most of the vehicle
Had mine for about 2 years. The glass just came out of it this summer.

the only problem with them is the core narrows down to abour 2" inside the case. Spend the extra money and get a magnaflow one.

That's not much of a problem - running stock 2" pipes anyway. Just looking for something that will help keep the volume and tone in check. Thanks for all the responses.

got a thrush one....2.25 inlet, diameter, and outlet.
as for asking how long will something last.... its like asking how long will a certain person live....
theres no real way of telling.

Yup, point taken. I just want to know if I might be changing my resonator as often as I change my oil. That would suck.
