Gauge Installation For 2.2 Eco
Monday, October 17, 2005 8:26 PM
I recently bought some Autometer gauges....oil pressure, volts, and vacuum/boost. I would like to hook them up to my Ecotech engine. I managed to figure out the volts, but now I am stuck on the oil pressure and vacuum/boost. The engine is stock. Any ideas would help.

__Oil__

right side of engine on the side of the head there are 2-3 allen head taps...pick one and put the sender there....you will need an adapter to go from guage to head

__Vacuum__
go buy a vacuum tee from auto store and about5 feet vacuum line.....t off the line going to the throttle body ...then run it in the cab. connect to guage in cab.

For the oil pressure sending unit adapter, what is the thread size ???

Secondly, there is only one vacuum line that I managed to find that leads from the air intake to the fuel regulator. Would tapping into this line be correct ????

If your engine is stock, then you have no need for a vacuum/boost gauge. You should return it and pick up a vacuum gauge if you're interested in knowing what your vacuum is for some reason.
