hey all,

i was searching for one of my next mods, an exhaust, and I've come across a few questions. for example, what is the difference between a complete cat back, and just a rear section? For $250 more, what do you get with the cat-back that doesn't come with just the rear exit.

also, i was wondering what comes with each cat back? an rksport doesn't come with a resonator correct, while a magnaflow does include a resonator? borla? vibrant? if this is true, and anyone has any of these setups, i was wondering how large the resonator included is. also, if they do not come with resonators, how large would i be able to fit it? i want a pretty low, quiet exhaust, so the larger i could go on the resonator, the better.

i think the rear section only comes with muffler and some pipe.
a complete cat back has all the pipeing from the cat back and a muffler.
only pre made exhaust that i know of that comes with a resonator is Thermal which i have. i think most people have a 22 inch resonator.
my advice is save your money, buy a borla muffler, resonator, and then have a shop bend you some pipe. then install and weld everything together. and there is your cat back

do you like the sound of the thermal exhaust? does the resonator get rid of the rasp? lower pitch? any body else have any of these other systems? thanks again everyone

The thermal has a good sound to me personally. It isnt tinny or anything on those lines. Also the magnaflow are get exhaust also, sounds better then RKSport because it includes a resinator.

yes magnaflow does include a resonator, unlike the rksport setup. It is 2.25" mandrel bent.

yeah i like the sound. but if i could go back and do it again. id do a custom set up. i would end up saving money
