does anyone know the apporximate weight of a 2.4 liter engine with all accesories, a gm SC and a getrag 5 speed transmission would weigh?
i ask because it is being delivered and i want to know the best way to get it
and if this is in the wrong forum mods def dont hesitate to move it

performance forum might be a good place to put this, since many people have done engine swaps and im sure someone would probably have a good idea.

Yeah, it's pretty heavy. The getrag is about 90 pounds... cuz I can lift it no problem. The engine block with bottom end is more.. probably 150 or more? I had a hard time lifting it. The head is another good weight, and all the accessories... yeah... between 400 and 500 sounds about right.
Most people put engines on a crate to ship it.
well the thing is im tryiung to decide if i need to get a picker or what to just get it in the back of a truck, i mean can i just get a few guys toghether and be able to lift it?
