I have searched and found that in order to make a 2K 2.4L header fit on a 98 2.4L with EGR I would have to make a notch in it.
My questions are :
1. Would there be any other issues ( fitment should be ok right?) or would this be the only thing I should be worried about?
2.To anyone who has "grinded" the notch in the header, did it work out ok? Any problems/things I should expect?
Any help would be appreciated
same headers other than the egr port
its usually easier to put the egr header on a non-egr model
it depends on the waay the flange is done

Could you elaborate please....it would be an RK 4-2-1 off a 2k going on a 98 .
if the flange has raised O-rings , then you wouldnt be able to grind a channel if needed
if the flange is smoothe then you could grind a channel if you do go to deep , or you could drill holes in the flange and the tube and run a small 90 bent pipe to connect the 2 holes
and if the flange has the channel then you would be fine
Cool...I understand the last 2 points you make but I have no clue about the raised O rings. Does anyone know if the RK header has raised O rings ?
Edit:
By the way, thanks for the help so far

He means where the flange meets the head, Is the surface flat OR does it have raised areas around the ports.
Cool...Thanx alot. This really helped.
No prob, Us silver sedan fellas are on top of it
your welcome , once you get the header youll understand what i was refering to
you should make your sig a little bit bigger though , it looks kinda cool
