comparing header design

im jus wondering lately, i know the rksport 2.4 header is designed to go up and then curve down, and then the obx/pacesetter jus goes down, is there actually a performance wise difference, which is worth spending 2 or 3 times more money for the rk design, other then it looking extremely cool under the hood? thanks!!

The reason they are designed like that is because they are 2 different style headers. The RK Sport is a 4-2-1 style header and the OBX/Pacesetter design is 4-1. The 4-2-1 design tends to give more power on the low-mid range, 4-1 designs tend to give more power on the top end.

If you do get a Pacesetter header, get the Ceramic Coated Version.

yeah ive already confirmed ceramic coated, and i know bout the 4-2-1 giving low end, i wuz jus curious if there was a reason other then getting the whole thing in there, for the pipes to be going up then down, thought maybe it speeds up flow or something

does anyone else make a 421 header for a 2.4? im all about taking off planted

...don't hate!.. respect people that have talent, even if it is in something you don't like or understand.

More than likely it's like that because of issues with room behind the motor.
