Will an intake such as those on ebay for a 2.4 fit an ecotec 2.2 . They look similar and there seems to be a lot more available at better prices than there are for the 2.4 than the ecotec

I don't understand why there are so many posts liek this... stop tryign to be cheap and just buy one meant for the damn car. If thats to expensive make your own intake... it cost very little if you can't afford a premade one, no point in spending money on somehtign meant for somethign else, buy whats for the car for more money, or make your own for even less money. Also its an intake.... the gains are very very very small, the difference from a premade one and homemade one (if done right) is nothing...

I have to agree...intakes are very cheap. If you're going to buy a new intake, why not buy one for your motor, it's easy to find. Even if you are getting a free one say from a friend, it would probably be somewhat of a hassle to modify it to fit your motor properly.

You can easily make yours with some piping and just buy yourself a filter or if you don't have the tools/time to do so, buy a Dragon Intake by Weapon-R for cheap. Go to www.definedparts.com for prices.
