Putting my car on a diet

I've got the 2004 Ecotec, and I know its not the heaviest thing out there, but I'm a little strapped for cash (schools a beach) and sometimes i get bored and like my site, I decide to rip things apart.

So my question to you is that, are there any other than the normal (backseat, jack and spare, passenger seat, dash and door panels) that I would be able to take apart and shave a couple punds here and there?

Another question, It says the Ecotec weighs 2617lbs or so, is that with a full tank of gas or empty, quarter, half?

Also I have manual windows, where do I get the tool to take the door panels off?

Please help me with this, I'm up at 4:30am thinking about this, I just need to know, j/k about the needing to know right now, not about the 4:30am thing.

And if you have any suggestions on other things that I can do to get a little extra out of the car for a low cost.

Thanks~!

I believe that the weight is with a full tank but that's what I heard...don't know for sure.

If you want to know other ways of weight loss...read this recent thread I made:

It helps you out a little bit and I will be doing more "weight reduction" in the near future and posting pictures for people like you who want to know other ways of losing weight. Remember, every pound adds up...so don't sweat the little stuff.

just use a clear rag to remove the window winder there is a u shaped pin between the door panel and winder work the rag between the 2 and pull down while "sawing" with the rag. if iit wont work the first time turn the winder a little and try again

good luck
