i have the magnaflow dual exhaust set up for the sunfire. i also am getting tired of the sound. i would like to know if anyone has tried the flowmaster 60 series on their car and how i should run my pipes and where the muffler should go.....

im guessing you have that raspy sounds like ass sound right? just add a resonator into the exhaust



Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

i have dual flowmasters on my 05 cavy. it bends right behind the rear axle. with 2 1/4 piping. no resonator and i dont have a raspy sound. only when the pipes are cold or the engine is. once the car is warm its fine although it will backfire from 3000-4000 rpms. prob do to not having a resonator. thats just my 2 cents

Make sure the tip of the exhaust is past your rear bumper if its not it will drive you friggin crazy cause the sound of the exhaust will resonate on the rear bumper. Ive had this before and its not fun

add a 20" resonator in there and it'll get better

every car is different but I did hear a dual flowmaster setup with resonators and it was the most aweful thing i have ever heard and makes a honda weed wacker sound nice flowmaster sounds aweful on 4s

stick with what you got its far better but make sure its resonated other wise theres way too much popping raspy sound

def get a resonator, i know how @!#$ty that exhaust sounds and exhaust is meant to have a resonator, itll help alot

ok everyone is going to have there on opinions and im not against that in any way nor trying to sound like a dick about it but like what 99redz24 said "every car is going to sound different. what may sound good his car may not sound good one yours." that being said just because the one you heard you didnt sound good to you doesnt mean every exhaust setup is going to sound that way. it all depends on how the pipes are bent as well. theres different types of bends you can do with exhaust and it all matters how you setup it up as to how its going to sound and where the bends and the design and flow of the exhaust is.

gabe vela sorry i dont have any pics i will try to post a pic of what it sounds like within the next day or so. if i could kind the cord to hook the camcorder up to the computer i would record a sound clip. it doesnt sound like a v-8 maybe a v-6 more or less. i have gotten a lot of complements on it and ive had them for almost a year now and have only a select few dislike it. but its your car so you choose what you want to do with that being said good luck
