Will it be worth getting a Pacesetter header with a stock Cat and Pipes. I do have a Magnaflow straight through muffler with a single inlet, dual outlets. I just want to keep the piping and the cat, to keep costs down. Will I see much of a gain by doing this?
Thanks for any input..........
well i replaced my pipe from the cat back to 2.25 i still have stock cat and resinator with the pacesetter header connecting to the stock cat and i felt a huge gain but now i think my stock cat is getting cloged up now...
you tell us is it worth it.....
worth is determined by your personal gains and how it will feel to you....
most will tell you its not worth it to add one part of an exhaust and not do the rest anytime soon, but to wait and do it all at once....
others will tell you, its worth it if you plan to do the rest, just add it piece by piece
as it stands boltons are small gains, thats why they are lower priced and called boltons... small pieces to the puzzle. dont expect, much, but expect a small something.
Also might want to consider the direction you're working. You're opening up a header to flow into the same size space. Many people that do a piece at a time work backwards. Muffler / Full Catback, Cat, Header. That way you aren't dumping more exhaust volume into the same old pipe. It's all about personal preference.
