ok ive been mostly just modding the outside of my car, im great with body work and like to customize everything, but its time to start something i am not very good at working on, the engine, im not a total loss but i really suck, ok i have a few questions about ecotecs, i was wondering where i can get one, which is the best to buy, and how much am i going to be spending, also, will an ecotec made for a 04 cavi or another year work on my 98 cavi

it might, you will need new motor mounts, computer, i don't know what trans you have in there if it is the getrag then it may work. you could but a V-8 in there if you want to do the work. i would buy the motor with a new trans. the only major diference in 98 and 03+ is body and of course the motor. if the mounts are different in 02 then 03+ then those mounts may work better. if they are the same i would just buy the RK Sport upper and lower mounts. they maybe cheaper then the GM ones. i only know my ECOTEC so i really am not sure about early 3rd gens
