anyone have experience with this one? i would also like suggestions on where you guys have gotten exhaust systems that work nicely.
thanks.
i pick up rk sports duals for my 99 2200 before it was totaled loved the look and the sound. not sure what i am gonna do with my z-24 now but thats a start

im looking for a single exhaust...i dont really see the purpose in a dual exhaust, i haven't heard good things about the sound with my engine either. this is for my graduation project.
ick...i heard the rk sport dual on a 2.4 sunfire gt...sounded like complete ass...
If you buy from Mantapart, order COD, as they've reportedly had troubles getting things out in a timely manner.
However, I would suggest what is widely accepted as a good route- go to a muffler shop and have them bend you a custom 2.25" cat-back system. Then throw a magnaflow or borla mufller on and a GOOD resonator (go with magnaflow IMO).
Or, of course, you could try using the search function, as this is asked every day.

if i was able to get the mantapart exhaust system on time, would it be just as good as getting the custom exhaust bent? i didn't read anything about a resonator on mantapart.com. also, how much would it cost me total to get this custom exhaust bent and a muffler made if i decided to do that?
Technically speaking (and performancly speaking) it would be better. The muffler shop will use compression-bent pipe, whereas the mantapart will be mandrel-bent. This provides slightly better exhaust flow on a high-performance app, but the average street engine won't be able to take advantage of the difference.
Mantapart probably doesn't use a resonator for whatever reason, but they are highly suggested for our cars as they will smooth the sound out a lot (you'll want it).
As for cost, it depends on the shop. Some may cost less, some may cost more. It's been as low as $100 (for the piping and welding) for some, and $300 for others. You have to go (or call) to different shops and ask them.
Also, just to clarify, they don't 'make' the muffler

single exit custom catback > anything else IMO.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
