pacesetter exhaust question?
Tuesday, September 13, 2005 11:58 AM
I was wondering, my friend has a pacesetter catback exhaust on his 98 2.4l twin cam and I was thinking of buying it off him...would it work/fit on my 2000 2.2l cavy? And will it sound different since my engine is different? Any help would be highly apperciated, thanks!

don't waste your money. they sound like crap and are junk in general. they rust and fall apart within a year. and you can get a higher quality custom job done for cheaper.

99-05 use the same cat back

98 older use a different bracket to hold the exhaust , and the 98 2.2 has a shorter cat back than the rest

you can use a 99-05 exhaust on the 95-98 with purchase of the 99-05 mounting bracket , the 95-98 2.2 will require the pipe to be shortened

the 95 2.3 and 96-98 2.4 exhaust is the same length as the 99-05

the bracket on the 95-98 interfears with the charchol canister which is just behind the rear axle

I am saying yes it would fit properly withthe bracket that JDM mentioned, however it wouldn't be a GOOD investment.
