no... i dont hold grudges on here...

thing is, most cars will require a resonator, especially when adding a header and straight through mufflers and such.

mine has a 30 inch resonator, header, on top of another muffler, and then yet another 20 inch resonator...

now granted thats alot, but most cars usually tend to need a single 20-30 inch resonator with a canister style muffler, especially once headers and straight through parts are added.

as far as liking and not liking people, really, usually i dont take anything personal, nor should you. some times i dont agree with people, some times i do. but even if i dont agree with you, doesnt mean "i dont like you"....realistically, i dont know you.... and words on a screen really isnt knowing someone... i dont judge someone until i know em for real. granted alot of people do it backwards and judge before the meet or know people.

i just dont work that way.

also heres an article to read on exhaust.... http://www.magnaflow.com/05news/magazine/05sportc.asp

I like mine without a resonator. It sounds meaner. People tend to mess with me more.

event, what resonators (brand) are you running? I posted on a diff thread before I saw this one, but figured that I'd ask anyhow.

Is it worth running a short resonator of about 16 inches?

After all, you're soooo judgmental. lol

Thx.

whole exhaust is all magnaflow parts...

the 30, the muffler and the 20.

short resonator....all depends. stock pipes or aftermarket? for stock size, 16 should be ok enough... aftermarket cat back, in the least i would run 18-20

add a header, 20+

thats just from what i went through. i was getting my exhaust redone atleast once a year. until there wasnt any rasp, etc...

then after a while, loud exhausts just wasnt appealing once you see cars with 500+ HP.

brand wise, magnaflow, dynomax thrush, or cherrybomb should be more than fine as long as its perforated core and not louvered.

I'm gonna try and squeeze a 25" Dynomax Magnum glasspack on my 95 2.2L... with a shorter Magnaflow catalytic converter (13") and cutting out some piping (hate to do it to the SS pipes, but oh well...)

Event, thx for the info as usual -- appreciate it!

well if you can swing the cash, shoot for the 94035 magnaflow...

i fit a 30 inch resonator along with a 16 inch cat with no problems...

plus it safeguards you for any future mods...

I originally had no resonator with my 2 1/4" custom cat back and it really is too much, I set off 2 car alarms the first day I had it. The resonator is a good idea there are many reasons I could give you.....cops, neighbours, or even the fact that its hard to talk to someone in your car. It's well worth it to get one in my opinion.

did you have to move the cat foreward to fit a 30 inch resonator, i was looking at mine and im not sure if i can squeeze a 30 incher in there, mabey a 24, then before the muffler fit a 18 or something

same chassis... you can fit it... it was moved forward a bit, but when your already gonna do your exhaust, its custom, so moving something shouldnt be a problem
