hey i hear that we can swap fords injectors into the 2200sfi . which ones are they and are they plug and play or do they need modification? how much would you guys pay for a p&p ? is there a fuel pump that will swap in or would i have to go with an inline fuel pump????

usually the ford injectors are a decent amount of cc;s more than stock. if you arent boosted, that could def be overkill.

you can do the 255lph swap, posted in the boost forum, but a port and polish is hardly enough to need injectors larger than stock or a larger fuel pump, unless boosted or you have a crap load of power.

300$ is avg locally, i did my own myself.

without the need for larger injectors and a way to tune them (such as SAFC, or larger level of tuning until HP Tuners software is released) then don't worry about it.

Like Spotabee says, you don't need injectors if all you have is a Port and Polish. Your fuel system is more than capable of supplying your engine with enough fuel. It's even possible that your computer would make you run rich from this type of modification but you could never know until you do so and check your A/F Ratio.

Purchase an SAFC-2 and take your car to get a dyno tuning.

ok . does that also go for someone that has basic mods like intake and exhaust. also are there any intake manifolds that will bolt on that will support a larger tb. what exactly is a SAFC-2? does it change timing or is it a piggy back system? how much do they run and where do you get them ? thanks for the help.

Like you said, an SAFC-2 is a piggy back fuel management system. It only deals with altering your fuel system. What it does is tap into your computer and pretty much tricks it to thinking you need more or less fuel in whatever RPM you set it for. By changing the amount, your computer is actually controlling the injectors and telling them to send more or less fuel.

If you want a device to change your ignition timing, you need to invest in the MSD Ignition system or a Greddy E-manage.

the stock one supports larger TB, but until your engine actually takes in more air, theres really not much a need for a larger TB.
