I have a 95 2.2 and i have right now a 2.25 exhaust with a magnaflow highflow cat and muffler. I am going to be going and getting a header soon and im getting the pacesetter. When i do this i was thinking of taking out the high flow and putting a stock .2.25 cat in instead....would this be a good idea?will it help get back some of my bottom end or will the header really liven things up ???phil
well if you are gonna keep the exhuast, and get a header... the stock cats pipes are smaller than 2.25, so why would you even wanna put a restriction in the exhuast system by using a smaller piped cat?
sorry i didnt mean a stock cat.but a normal flow cat tht is 2.25 inner diameter..phil
no real such thing as a normal flow cat....
pretty much all converters are high flow.
Ok i guess ive been misslead then.thanks alot.ill keep the one i got then..phil
got a magnaflow?
always remember,
pretty much most aftermarket companies will meet or exceed stock levels/quality.
stock is a high flow....for its size.
so everything there after will be high flow in the least, as long as the pipe size is the same as the rest of the exhaust
yah it s a magna flow of a carsound i think they call it..im going to keep that in...should i get rid of the the triple flanges while im at it? and even if i have motor mounts should i put a flex pipe in with the pacesetter? phil
flanges....up to you... if you do keep em, get locknuts that arent nylon as the nylon melts out after time...
personally, i have motor mounts and a transmission mount....AND a flex pipe.... insurance never hurt.
So youd put the flex pipe right by he cat or farther up?? phil
where the stock one is...
ummm i dont have a flex pipe...sorry..
gotchya... older cars didnt.....
to the EXACT left of the oil pan
thats if you are looking at the car from head on.
