I have a 01 z24, i was just wondering, the black plastic box that sits on top of the TB, do I remove that for the AEM short ram? I have the intake on order, it hasnt got here yet, so i was wondering if i remove that or not? It seems way restrictive to me. Plus, wouldnt u get a little better gain from the intake bolted straight to th TB?

i would only assume that since it's a name brand intake that it would hook up straight to the throttle body. but don't hold me to that.

but if anyone has ever taken one apart, its not as restrictive as everyone makes it out to be. it has its drawbacks no doubt for max flow, and even less on the 2200,

the gain honestly, is the same as a tuner tube removal... nothing significant or anything to rave about.
