i have a 99 sunfire with a 2200 in it 4 door all that good stuff need to find out if anyone knows how i can redo performance on this thing without completely emptying my bank account... its a 3 speed auto so i wanna junk that right away... but as of right now here are my mods performance wise
intake
2.25 exhaust cat back
high flow magnaflo cat
venom chip
and soon nitrous on its way but im not sure how thats going to pan out this is a daily driver with 63k on it and grandma driven before me so im not going to mess with nitrous juuuuust yet without making sure my fuel system is in absolute mint condition for it and ready to handle the extra spray of nitrous im think 25 shot max.... but let me know i wanna know also if its possible to take the 2200 head off and put a head from an old grand am 2.0L or a 2.2 ecotec head and bypass the pushrods putting the engine into a dohc state... let me know any input is good thanks... later
Ecotec head is a definite no on a 2200 block, and a 25 shot, you're joking right. I had a 35, 50, and 75 shot in my eco and the 35 didn't hardly feel like there was anything there. BTW I've blown two eco's with stupid nitrous mistakes so be careful but spray is a lot of fun if it's not abused.

have the head ported, get the Crane Cams 1.6 roller rocker kit from Howell Automotive, and maybe a cam from jbodyperformance.com and you'll be having a lot of fun.
