is it possible if i were to get a 2.4l engine out of a different car say alero, or GA could i use the engine harness from that? or would i have to get one from a sunfire or cavalier.

what about pcm, ecu and such?

you're better off sticking with the wiring harness and PCM from a Cavalier

Yup, its the same engine as a z24. Mine is coming from a Malibu. You'll need a cavy or sunfire transmission though.. IM not sure if you can use one from another car. I looked at the tranny mounts on a malibu and it looked wayy different from the ones on a cavy.. So I dunno.

I have a GA tranny, and my GF has an Achieva 2.4 in her vert. They all work, just the oil pans are usually different. Whichever yard you get it from should know, also I think the intake mani is diff, so just swap the two, its easy as cake.

well i realized it would be better for me to swap a 2.4l instead of trying to make the 2200 fast, because no matter what i doubt i'll be happy with the 2200
