This is soo a newbie topic, but im not that bad, i just have a good question,

this thing :

what is it?
Do some intake set-ups replace it? Whats the advantage of it??? What the hell does it do??

its a box.......it sits on your throttle body and gives a pipe a place to hook to. if you had a 90 degree elbow you could get rid of it and use the elbow instead. and get a little breather filter for the valve cover if you do decide to get rid of the box
