I went to the junkyard and I asked them to know if they had a TB and an intake manifold for an eco. The guy check in the computer and tell me that they have an intake manifold but that the throttle body is sold.. He also told me that the intake manifold cost 118$ (CAD) (around 97.24 US). I decide to take it, I had to wait a little bit and then the guy came up with that....
the first thing I saw is that there was a TB on it, but the guy (think he just answer the phone and check the computer there) didn't notice it, I had already paid the 118$, so I asked him if everything was ok, then I get out.
I'll wait about 1 week if they don't call me to ask about the TB, I'll get it to a machine shop
Sometimes it can pay off when there's communication problems between people....

Not sure what the laws are up there in Canada.
Here in the US, even if they ask for it back you don't have to give it up if you don't want.
Same deal as if you get back too much change.
Or you order food and they muck it up, you can keep it and they still have to get the order corect.

Just some quick questions, are the TB for ecos all the same size??? And would it be more simple to get a plate from a stock 62mm TB and put it in the bored one?? For the intake manifold, there's a guy in my class that work in a performance shop (Custom work such as intake manifold, exhaust for turbo car, but they may be able to make me one for 300-400$ (CAD).... I have a BRAND NEW ECOTEC intake manifold with the caps on the holes and everything I would be willing to sell if anyone is interested.
oky dpkey for starters ive been trying to do some work on my TB for a while now. yes you van swap out a 62 but The bore prcess is a bit hard as for the intake manifold if you have dremel you can easly bore out the manifold to port match to the head its really not that hard just make sure yo get all the chips out or your gonna have a pissed off engine.

intake manifolds, being plastic unlike the v6/v8;s can be found for 10-20$....
50$ at most is all that should have cost. hell i would have even gone and found that for ya and shipped it to ya express and you still could have saved about 30$

that's in canadian money though. oh well he got ripped off about 50 $ cad. big deal, he now has two parts which can be machined and will upgrade his performance. if he has connections he'll have got an IM and a TB for a couple hundreds, which is certainly not bad.

I'm even in Canada and I wouldn't have to pay that much! Although the junkyards up in where I am dont know anything about anything. They're all hicks, my buddy got a TurboXS RFL BOV, Autometer Boost Guage and a Spearco Intercooler for $80 CAD ($66 USD). The intercooler isnt a massive one but it will do until he installs his TRUST intercooler. Keep in mind he doesn't drive a JBody, he drives a MK3 Supra. Well good luck with whatever you plan to do with your newly acquired Manifold and TB.
