There was a post weeks back about, People with 2.2L & 2.4L cavaliers, Having problems with sputter or delay in acceleration, And having a little shake in the engine, Well I had taken my 01 cavalier 2.2L into Gm I told them I had these problems, Then did the cel scan no troubles codes, So then I had a recall for the ingition switch, Got that fixed, they updated the software in my cars computer, I noticed that sputter is gone, Ive got more power in acceleration now, I guess it cured that problem. So if anyone that has that sputter or surge delay . when driving 40mph to 80mph that software update should help you guys out. the cost for the service was $85 cdn. I am glad to have my cavalier working good again.

my cavy is doing the same thing. I never made to the dealer, died on me on the way there. Its at RSM now.

Well Day #3 things seem to be running ok, Nothing else happening as well from before, I believe that the software update fix my problems. Just thought you guys would like to know.
