rockers,pushrods and ???

Well i have a 95 sunfire 2.2 and im doing the comp cams 1.6 roller rocker swap and i am also changing my pushrods as well. What im wondering is if i should change my lifters as well cause i am getting a bit of a knock from them....i know ideally i should pull the cam as well but i dont want to pull the motor al the way out. So then id change the head gasket and lifters would this help my little motor live a longer lif or should i just learn to deal with the lifter knocking???phil

Every GM has a bit of a lifter click. With the Comp Cams 1.6 rockers you are best using stock pushrods so just go pick yourself up a brand new set. Once you pull the valve cover off and take the rocker arm assembly apart, pull the pushrods out, make sure you get all the oil out of them. Replace your pushrods, install the rockers, and make sure to adjust the valves correctly. Mine had bad lifter click before the rockers and afterwards with everything adjusted the motor puurrrrrrrrs.

well my lifter tick got worse with the roller rockers

I have set them up about a dozen times, and I can't get rid of it.

Right now I have it at its best, next to no tick. (only when shes really hot)

I also believe its time for an oil change,

going to try that and see what happens.

Change your oil, and make sure the valves are adjusted perfectly. You are still going to have a sliiiiight lifter click but it's part of owning a GM. Mine has almost none whatsoever, at any temperature.

I've got 157,000 miles on my car on the stock timing chain.
