yay exhaust install scheduled

Just had to post, I have been lookin around alot lately and seems no muffler shops would touch the headers to install, altho its a 03, so they arent gonna be near as hard to pull as something with 80k miles.

Took it to a few places, and one kept runnin me around never beign able to give me a quote when they said they would, so i found somewhere and asked about just doing the exhaust, and doing the header elsewhere.

The guy was like oh its a cavalier, ill do that header i have done them for friends before, Scheduled an apt for friday morning, so friday night ill have my new exhaust, yay!

Pacesetter 4:1 header
Magnaflow high flow cat 91035
24 inch resonator
dual magnaflow dual tip mufflers 14830s
type j rear FINALLY!

pics and vids should come sunday or monday. So happy to finally get this stuff on.

i have been told the 91035 wont throw codes either, by multiple people and magnaflow as well. So if it throws codes,

here is their direct webpage for it

I would assume obd-II compliant means no codes

no, that 91035 won't throw you a code. why would an exhaust shop refuse to install a header on your car? course, i always do all my own work. but i absolutely hate having to get on the backside of those motors.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

03 CF I am going to get my exaust install wondering how much they quoted you. I am puttign the header on myself tho. I just need the guy to bend and weld the cat and muffler.

Yea, how much did they charge you?

he said would be probably 150 total. thats for the pipe.install.bends

I was happy with that number since some others I have heard of 300+ He said basically i pay for labor, compressino bent btw

I think they dont want to install most places be cause they are afraid of the bolts bein rusted on or something and breaking them in the head

Dropped it off this morning... gonna be a long day I can just feel it.

All in all I told them these are the things I would like done:
2.25 pipe all the way back
Cut the smaller diameter part of header off whereit shrinks from 2.25 to 1 and 7/8s
Leave as much room as possible between the downpipe and cat (future exhaust cutout)
Extend tips 1/4 to 1/2 inch out of back of bumper
Angle mufflers slightly down(for a little extra clearance.

I drove 25 miles with my stock exhaust ghetto fab'd up. Undid the clamp for the muffler almost all the way, wedged a piece of angle iron on top of muffler to force it down a little, tied a piece of wood on the tip of the muffler on top with some wire (to prevent rubbing the tip on the bumper.

Note that was just to get it to the shop. The rear bumper still needs the mesh in, and to be fitted 100%, but I needed it on for them to know the placement of the mufflers. I still have to make a fix for the weave in the back, there are 2 big bumps.

he also noted that I will lose some low end power, but my high end should be nicer.

Also last night I installed my AEM CAI, in preperation for nitrous, it was alot more work that I was expecting to get it down into the bumper, and they sure dont leave much room to bolt it up to or to get a wrench in there.

In that process I managed to short the fuse box and it just sparked(or so I thought) This morning my radio didnt work, so hopefully it was just a fuse, I will check it after work.

The small hose that comes from the round part just under the oil cap, should I just run it to the intake manifold nipple?
