I've always found Shell to be the best in my area
ampm/arco sucks and Chevrons ok
going from Chevron to shell I like Shell better
it seems I get better gas miles and more power

um, Sunoco?

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I think it's all in the additives that the companies use in the fuel. It's at a very small level, but with the ''detergents'' some of the fuelers use, and other stuff, (that i don't know about), it is possible to get better mileage with one. I'm from the East Coast, and i've always like Sheetz.
I think it depends on where you are from. Around my area it is Exxon/Mobile for the best performance and mileage. But then again we have one on every street corner.

SHELL!!!! V-Power dude,
i noticed the same thing, u get bettter gas milage, even if u pay more you still save on gas,
Octavian
Shell is the major supply chain in the east to be proven to have a higher grade of gas.
Please see www.toptiergas.com for more info.
better gas doesnt help that much unless you a better ignition system to make it burn better...the best gain u can get is like a couple hp from running 92octane.

Ricer ELIMINATOR!
Sunoco sucks my car runs horrible on that crap, I get my best with Hess, BP (amaco used to be badass) or texaco

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
My car tends to like Hess, Mobile, 7-11/Citgo.. it hates Texaco and Shell :\ I can tell.. we have a special bond :d
I run nothing but QuikTrip 91 Octane... until the day I need higher. Then I rely on Sunoco 104.

I want some proof that 92 octane adds horse power to a stock N/A engine. 87 burns faster and easier. People that are running forced induction or high compression need higher octance because that gas doesn't ignite as easily. Lower octane gas will pre-ignite on those cars.
As far as gas, I prefer:
BP, Sunoco, Mobil, Chevron
I avoid(because my mileage suffers):
Kangaroo, Hess, and Mom & Pop stores

92 Octane or any octane really above 87 won't do anything for an N/A low compression motor. Higher octane is needed when dealing with high compression, lots of performance parts, and forced induction. Corky Bell writes a really good article in Maximum Boost about fuel octane levels.
