AC Removal

just wondering if anyone has removed the AC on there 2.4 and has a belt just on the crank and the altanator only (removed ac and belt tensioner) thanks

theres a couple write ups on this. for a 2.4 i think you need a a/c delete pulley and for a 2.2 you simply buy a belt for a 2.2 engine that doesnt have a a/c on it and it will bypass it.

someone correct me if im wrong

I think if I was to put a belt from the crank pulley to the alt Pulley it might hit the timing chain bolts a lil I guess I could remove my belt and run it "like" it is on to see if it would touch but Im still interested if anyone has done it or tried different things and yeah ive seen the ac delete pulley on manta part but Im not at all about to order from them

take off the ac compressor, you do not need a delete pulley, buy a belt that is 34inches in circumference and pull back the tensioner...put on the belt and let the tensioner go...it will work fine
