already I have the rsm head, rsm 62mm throttle body, and matched intake manifold, pacesetter header, 2.5" exhaust, venom fuel rail,rk fuel presure regulater, the secret cams, and a fidanza flywheel. It a 2.4 motor with 5-speed trans

now I want to put in the eagle rods from rk and get my pistons from mantapart.
and mantapart say you can get piston for which ever compression you want to run
I am keeping my motor n/a. so what i am getting at is if I run 10:1 compression will that be to much for a daily driver

Stock 2000+ 2.4L's run 9.7:1, pre 2000 run 9.5:1.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!

what if you got your pistons from carcustoms instead of mantapart?

You might get them from carcustoms sooner.

just my .02 though

I also think that if you're going to change the flywheel, why not get an aftermarket clutch while you have her apart?

I already have a centerforce dual friction clutch new throw out bearing clutch master cylinder and so on the the only parts that aren't already installed are the pistons and rods. kind of a backwards way of doing things but I rebulit my trans and then I had a problem with my top end so i replaced it all. Now i just want to finish what i started

I wouldn't waste my money on the rods unless you plan on nitrous.

the eagle rods are lighter than oem so you don't loose as much power and it rev a bit faster.

Buy your eagle rods at CNC motorsport. They are the cheapest one.

you can buy your piston from Ross Racing pistons, Wiseco or JE pistons.

Don't go with mantapart. They are overprice, slow and unreliable.

i dont mean to sound like a turd but if you are going to stay N/A you may wanna swap to the older 2.3. its a MUCH better engine for a nice N/A setup. might not be an option now though since your into yor 2.4 a decent amount..

Sven you totally quarterloafed your computer..

going 11:1 would be even sexier

the only reason i am staying n/a right now is because i have a baby on the way and for the time being money flow has slowed down
