now i know slowbird and colin have there heads milled on hte deck face im jsut wondering if anyone knows how much to mill off?and u have to use the .040 thick Iron Head 2.8L head gaskets i believe?anyone know what the compression would be at after this?

Can't answer the first part of the question, but as for the head gasket, using a thicker one than now will partially negate the benefits of milling as it lowers compression. I'd say that's a waste. .040 is pretty thick for a head gasket.
Now, if someone presents evidence that the stock gasket cannot handle the increased compression from milling, I might give. Partially. If the stock gasket can't handle it, then you milled too far. Because what's the point of milling to "x" amount, and then putting on a gasket that's "x" thick.
