Does anyone know any other than stock? The gm service engine specs does not have the ratio for the stock followers. Does anyone know it?

ecotec engines DO have rocker arms the part number is 24100004 they are $18.25 ea.
the engine also has lifters. let me know if you need that number too.
the stock ones are full rollers but there is a company that makes long ones. they were
listed in hotrod mag. a few months back and i called for pricing and they didnt have any
at that time and i compleatly forgot about it till i saw your post i'll try to find there name
and number again and post it.
guys please if you've never even had your valve cover off then why answer. and if you
took off your valve cover then you know ecotecs have rockers.
if i dont know and i cant find out then i dont answer. good idea huh?

Well, shifted unfortunatly GM does call them rockers, and they also call the lifters lifter/pushrod tipped, so to answer your question yes the eco does have pushrods.

look in the eco handbook, first off, and then check some parts at a gm perfomance shop.
Shifted wrote:Rocker arms, by definition, are something that gets pushed on by the pushrod to push the valve down. (It rocks on a central pivot) So are you saying the Eco has pushrods too?
It doesn't have to have pushrods to have rocker arms. like the vg30e and many other engines have a single overhead cam that operate multiple valves.
eco's have hydraulic valve lash adjusters and a roller type rocker system.

I wasn't reffering to that they were called rockers as stock, but a replacement performance version of the followers. Which could be called rocker arms if there is a aftermarket replacement. Or even a rocker arm that might be used instead of the stock followers. Perhaps I could have used a better wording other than rockers. But if I look back at my post, I think I did call them followers. Wait what's that? Wow, I DID!
Just becuase they are called followers, doesn't mean they don't rock back and forth as the cam turns. If they didn't they obviously wouldn't move the valve open.
Lemme reword then for the ones who want to be reatarded about it....
Are there performance roller followers that are better than the stock ones? Or is there a rcoker arm that can be used as a replacement for the followers?
just by aftermarket cams...

I'm guessing that longer rollers will give more lift, right? Does anyone know what would be good or bad about longer rollers?
Please post the company that makes them if you find it.
Jesel
They make replacement rockers for the ecotec 2.2, not sure on what stock ratio is though, find that out I'm sure they have em.
jessel thats it! thanks. i couldn't remember that to save my life.

Interesting that looks like a rocker arm and lifter with a niple on it(lash).
They don't like to call them pushrods because they say a OHC is better because it doesn't have pushrods, yet a few GM designers have called them pushrods in interviews... come up with your own conclusion and call them nipples for all I care.
But I guess I'm not as inclined as most posts in this thread so I will shut up now.
yup i call them rockers also
cause they do rock on a piviot point (lifter) they get pused by the cam , on the roller
and the other end pushs the valve down
i posted about jesel about 7 months ago... I found them accidentally when i was searching for eco internals..
