im looking for just a muffler with a nice DEEP and low sound to it?what do you guys suggest?this is on a 04 LS.i was thinking magnaflow but wanted others input on what they have and think matches what i want
you wont get that sound with a muffler alone. Do a full exhaust get it custom bent 2.25 pipe. Add atlesat a 20" resonator, and that will cut alot of the high pitches the bigger you go the lower it will sound. Magnaflow has been known for some raspyness, so plan on putting in a resonator. I had magnaflow on my sunfire back when I had it, very nice sounding muffler but I also had the header done as well..

i just got my flowmaster 50 series installed with a magnaflow cat and its pretty deep. i want it deeper so im gonna throw in a 24" resonator me thinks........i also have a question- how well do silencers work (if they do at all)?

there isnt a best, as it stands most people havent even tried all the available mufflers and there are a crapload of quality companies...
cant really say there is a best if you havent tried em all.
