ok I need to know how much power the stock LD9 block and head can hold. Anyone have the luck of blowing up their block. I have the best luck in the world latley with my car. I lost a rod but not sure wich one yet. So I figure this would be a good time to start building my motor up. I know everything I'm gonna have to replace one way or another, But my concern is the block and head. I'm gonna be shootin for 300-350hp with a mitsubishi super 16g, or t3t4 hybrid. If any of you kids out there can help me out here, that would kick @$$.

The actual block and head can handle way more power than you'll likely be making with a street driven car. Mike Karas layed down 410 WHP on the stock block and a ported head (with forged internals of course).

Yeah the 2.2 ECOTEC and 2.4 motors can handle lots of power. You really shouldn't have to worry about putting down too much power...

Worry about pistons, rods, and crank before the block.
